The Museum Broken Arrow to Host Free Reading Program This Fall

The Museum Broken Arrow will host a free reading program sponsored by Oklahoma Humanities beginning Aug. 3 at The Museum Broken Arrow, 400 S. Main St. in Broken Arrow. Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma will be held on the first Thursday of each month, August through December at 6:30 p.m. Each session is free and will showcase a different book.
The fall edition of the Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma series will be themed “The Oklahoma Experience: In Our Own Words” and will explore a series of autobiographies written by Oklahomans. A scholar from the region will lead the discussion of each novel. In addition, books will be provided for all registered participants to read each book prior to the program, but must be returned each month.
“We are looking forward to hosting our third Let’s Talk About it, Oklahoma program this fall,” said Lori Lewis, executive director of The Museum Broken Arrow. “If you love to read and enjoy learning more about our great state, please join us for this literary delve into real-life experiences.”
Selected books include “Leaves in the Wind” by LaDonna K. Meinders, “Hurrah for My New Country” by Leon C. Fouquet, “The Cherokee Strip” by Marquis James, “On Coon Mountain” by Glen Ross and “Flight From Innocence” by Judson Jerome.
Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma space is limited. Individuals interested in attending the series can pick-up their first literary selection at The Museum Broken Arrow.
