The Museum Broken Arrow's Exhibit Brings Holiday Cheer to Families
For Immediate Release: Dec. 1, 2016
The Museum Broken Arrow is celebrating the holiday season with a special exhibition of community-created trees at their annual Christmas Tree exhibit. The exhibition is open for viewing now through Dec. 10.
The exhibit showcases a variety of themed Christmas trees. Each tree featured was donated and decorated by local businesses, organizations and individuals. In the spirit of Christmas, Museum visitors are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy suitable for children under 12 to place beneath a tree. Donated toys will be distributed to area children.
Following the close of the exhibition, all Christmas trees will be donated to Broken Arrow Neighbors. Broken Arrow Neighbors will distribute the collection to families in the Broken Arrow community.
“The Museum Broken Arrow values our community and giving back to it in a way that brings joy and hope,” said Lori Lewis, executive director of The Museum Broken Arrow. “We invite visitors to the Museum to partake in giving holiday cheer by bringing toys for donation to children in our own community.”
Admission to The Museum Broken Arrow is $5 per adult or $8 for two adults. Museum members and children under 18 receive free admission. Visitors to The Museum Broken Arrow can also view a series of permanent collections in the main gallery telling the history of Broken Arrow and its residents.
