Julie Brown, Executive Director, was born and raised in Broken Arrow Oklahoma before a family move relocated her to the Houston, Texas area in 1996. After attending Texas State University, Julie and her husband began their family in Texas. During a visit to her hometown, they decided Broken Arrow was the best place to raise their growing family. Since moving back, Julie has immersed herself in the community through volunteer work and supporting the local area businesses and nonprofits. Julie’s personal interest in history and museums led her to The Museum Broken Arrow, first as a patron and then beginning in September 2018 as an employee. Julie enjoys serving the Broken Arrow community, researching family history, exploring museums, and spending time with her family, including her husband and their two children. She has lived in Broken Arrow for 31 years.
