The Museum Broken Arrow Hosts 12th Annual Green Country Watercolor Society Member’s Exhibition
For Immediate Release: Sept. 16, 2016

The Museum Broken Arrow is showcasing the Green Country Watercolor Society’s 12th annual juried Member’s beginning Sept. 16. The exhibition will be open for viewing through Oct. 13.

The exhibition features original, creative works in a wide variety of painting styles and subjects from Green Country Watercolor Society members.
“We are thrilled to be hosting the Green Country Watercolor Society Member’s Exhibition, a display that provides an array of magnificent works created by members of our own community,” said Lori Lewis, executive director of The Museum Broken Arrow. “We hope everyone will come out to experience this fantastic exhibit of creativity through water media.”

Artwork showcased in the exhibit will be judged by local professional artist, Christopher Westfall. An estimated $1,500 in awards will be presented. In addition, the artwork displayed in the exhibition will be available for purchase.

The public is invited to attend the Artist’s Reception at The Museum Broken Arrow on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 6-8 p.m. for a meet and greet with the artists to learn what inspires them to create new and innovative works of art. The event will feature light refreshments.

Visitors to The Museum Broken Arrow can also view a series of permanent collections in the main gallery telling the history of Broken Arrow and its residents.

The Museum Broken Arrow is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in historic downtown Broken Arrow near the site of the original Katy Train Depot. The Museum’s mission is to preserve the local history of the city and its residents and to serve as an educational opportunity for future generations. In addition to showcasing local history, the Museum also offers events, educational opportunities and facility rental. Our Non-Profit organization works to share local history through interactive and informative exhibits.

The Museum raises its operational costs through donations, fundraisers and membership dues. You may donate by credit card below.  We also accept cash and check donations at the museum.
